  I grew up Presbyterian, and when we move to Grand Haven, my wife (who is Lutheran) went to the Presbyterian in town which is also great. But when our kids became school age we discovered St. John's Lutheran School which we immediately loved. Consequently we ended up going to church at St. John's too. We liked how it integrated the church and school together. I was a bit unsure how I would like the change from Presb. but I feel that the doctrine is very Christ Centered and that there is a strong emphasis on the fact that there is nothing we can do to earn God's love or salvation, rather it is free gift - Which is think is a great central message. The people here are also great. Love it!
