  Kurt was rather cold and seemed rather irritated with us. We didn't want much service wise since our family lives on the other side of the state. We simply wanted our infant daughter cremated and a simple obituary placed in the paper. I felt like Kurt was irritated that we weren't doing a lot and kept making comments that sounded like he thought we couldn't afford anything. It was not whether or not we could afford, it was what we WANTED.
  Also we were quoted for cremation and the obit. When our daughter's remains came back and the obit was placed in the paper our bill came back about 3 times what we were quoted. I have no problem paying it because it is for my daughter but for our quote to be so off seemed odd.
  I have dealt with some funeral homes before and they have been very nice and caring people who understand death is a difficult time for people but not Klaassen. Kurt seemed a little more friendly when we went to pick up our baby girls remains.
  The funeral home said they donated their services for sending our daughter to the crematory and placing the obit for us. That was nice but Kurt's behavior and comments made us feel uncomfortable telling him what we were wanting.
  
  I am sure not everyone's experience is like ours but this is what we experienced.

  The Klaassen family did an outstanding job. They treated us like family during one of the most difficult times our family had to endure. From our first encounter, they helped us thru an emotional, confusing and trying time with compassion and patience and expertise. We felt comfortable and confident in our choice to have Klaassens take care of our loved one. Thank you to David, Scott and Kurt.
